Job Summary:
The Budget Analyst in the Political Science department is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and managing the department's budgetary activities. Key Responsibilities:

3. Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis and budget projections.
4. Collaborate with departmental managers and faculty to identify and allocate resources based on program priorities and objectives.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of budget policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
6. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
7. Provide guidance and support to departmental staff regarding budgetary processes and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Budget Analyst or a similar role in a political science or research environment.
3. Strong knowledge of political science principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
4. Proficient in financial management software and tools, such as Excel, SAP, or other budgeting systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
